Coleoptera (n) - an order of insects that comprises beetles.

This print takes inspiration from antiquarian beetle collections, now on display in museums, that included everything from sacred scarab beetles to tiny bright June bugs.

Inspired by naturalists of days gone by, Bison Bindery was founded to encourage the timeless craft of putting pen to paper, and to provide stationery for all those fascinated by the world around them. Bison Bindery designs celebrate flora and fauna from around the world, on products that aim to preserve the environment for generations to come.

Bison Bindery art prints are designed and printed in the UK onto sustainable materials. The design has been hand-painted in watercolour by artist Maddie Chambers from her studio on the edge of the South Downs.

A bright, modern take on vintage book plates, each species has been carefully noted underneath in latin. These art prints are designed to sit together as a collection and are perfect for hallways, studies or nurseries, but they also stand well alone or as an addition to a gallery wall.

Art prints are packaged plastic-free, with a kraft board backing to avoid creasing, and enclosed in clear, compostable bio-film made from cellulose.
